So Christian is still mad at Ana for not following orders (what a controlling fuck-head he is) even though by not following his orders Ana averted disaster.
Also they’re still naked and arguing in the shower.
“Christian, I wasn’t here.” I try to appease an reassure him.
“I know,” he whispers opening his eyes. “And all because you can’t follow a simple, fucking request.” His tone is bitter and it’s my turn to blanch. “I don’t want to discuss this now, in the shower. I am still fucking mad at you, Anastasia. You’re making me question my judgement.”

THAT WASN’T A GODDAMNED REQUEST, CHRISTIAN. THAT WAS AN ORDER. YOU ARE ORDERING YOUR GODDAMNED WIFE AROUND LIKE SHE’S A DOG AND I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE CAN READ THIS AND NOT HATE THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS.
OR, IF IT WAS A REQUEST, SHE SIMPLY REFUSED THE FOLLOW THE REQUEST BECAUSE YOU WERE ASKING HER TO DO YOU A FAVOR, ESSENTIALLY, AND SHE CHOSE NOT TO DO IT. SHE’S ALLOWED TO DO THAT. HUMAN BEINGS HAVE THIS THING CALLED FREE WILL. IT’S NOT A FUCKING SIMS GAME.
Oh and now Ana is going to work. Because that seems to be her response to everything. SOMETHING HORRIBLE AND TRAUMITIZING JUST HAPPENED WELP I GUESS THAT MEANS I SHOULD HEAD TO WORK.

I will take your silence as an admission that you did indeed return to Seattle because I CHANGED MY MIND. I am an adult female and went for a drink with my friend. I did not understand the security ramifications of CHANGING MY MIND because YOU NEVER TELL ME ANYTHING.
Ugh but then they decide to discuss it when Ana gets home and Christian apparently intends to seduce Ana to death by wearing the jeans that he always wears when they have sex in the creepy-murder room “play room”, and the top button of the jeans is undone.
And that’s the end of the chapter.
If they have sex instead of actually talking about their issues I am going to shit 10,000 bricks and throw them all through E.L. James’s window.
