Haha yeah I’ve been icing my cheeks a ton all day, so the swelling has gone down a TON and I look human again.

But earlier, like when I first got home, it was HORRIFYING. Literally and actually terrifying. My mom took a picture of me and I would post it because it’s kind of funny but it is also the single most awful picture ever taken of me ever and I mean, I’m pretty open with you guys about things, but I DRAW THE LINE THERE.

Hahaha. Yeah, I had the black over a hot pink and it was AMAZING. I think I used too much of the crackle polish the second time I used it since it just didn’t give me the same affect as the first time. I’ll have to give it another shot. :D

Yeahh, it’s really finicky stuff to work with, if you get just a fraction too much the nail polish is like I’M GOING TO CLUMP UP AND LOOK STUPID AND ONLY SHATTER ON ONE CORNER OF THE NAIL AND LEAVE THE REST OF IT LOOKING DUMB AND LUMPY SO FUCK YOU.

But when you get it right it looks SO FABULOUS.

What’s really fun, if you have a little bit of patience, is to put stripes on under the crackle. I did diagonal stripes of lime green, silver, and hot pink, and then put the crackle over it, and it looked SO AWESOME. The best part is that you don’t have to have a super steady hand, because as long as the lines are vaguely straight, the black crackle hides any imperfections in the lines, which is awesome because my hands shake like CRAZY.

But yeah, it’s really simple nail art, but it looks so amazing even though it doesn’t take a whole lot of effort (the dry time might be a little longer than usual though).

I have! I bought the black shatter nail polish from Sally Hansen, and it was beautiful and glorious in every way the first few times I used it. It started to get kind of clumpy though, and now it’s really hard to use because either not enough is on my nail so it looks stupid, or too much is on my nail and it’s just weird lumpy black nail polish, lol.

I tried the red one from Sally Hansen next, and while it looked FANTASTIC over colors like white or silver (Sally Hansen Celeb City ftw!), it looked so stupid over anything dark. The color isn’t strong enough to stand on its own over a dark color like black, which is a bummer.

I also tried the white Sally Hansen one also, and that one was pretty great too. I used it over a pretty bold turquoise color and it looked fabulous. I also used it over navy blue and it looked like snow, so I’m definitely going to break that out for some winter-theme nails :)

I haven’t tried anything by OPI, or any of the other multitude of crackle nail polishes there are now, so I don’t know if the clumpiness is specific to the Sally Hansen formula, or if that’s just the nature of the beast.

But yeah, it’s a kind of difficult thing to use, and it doesn’t seem like the bottle has a very long shelf life (I don’t even know if my black crackle is still good, I’ve only had it for about 3 months or so, but last time I used it, it was so hard to put on). So yeah, I think either Sally Hansen’s product is weird, or just crackle in general is odd. You’re probably not derping, at least not when it comes to nail polish, haha

Oh man, I just watched that for the first time not too long ago (I had a marathon to catch up since I was way behind.) I wanted to bawl my eyes out at that. It was so hard seeing Barney that upset. D:

Oh I know, it was awful! But I also sort of loved it, just because it gave his character so much more depth, and kind of explained why he does the things he does. I love when shows/books/movies really dig into the psychology of their characters, it makes it that much more interesting for me. But yeah, I just wanted to hug Barney so bad :( (and give him kisses but that’s beside the point, lol)

Yay anniversaries! Yeah I need to buy ben like one thing, and then I’m making the rest for him, and I’m worried that the one thing I’m making him is too cheesy and it’s gonna look dumb or something, haha idk. He’s probably going to yell at me for saying that, because I always say that when I make him something, haha.

Its so addicting omg. As soon as I got Sims 3 I’ve been obsessed, and they keep coming out with these super duper rad expansion packs and it’s only making the obsession worseee. Except it’s really bad because when I get a new expansion back I stop doing other things, haha. You should start playing again!

Its sold at other online retailers, but I haven’t been able to find out if it’s at any salons/stores near me. It’s pretty cheap on amazon though (well, at least it was cheaper than I expected…I wouldn’t necessarily call it “cheap” though haha) so I’ll probably just get it through there instead of on the Nubar website (shipping costs kind of a lot on their website, which is lame).

But OH MY GOD I KNOW. I just want all of it at once right now.
